From: LRWD1 expression is regulated through DNA methylation in human testicular embryonal carcinoma cells
The methylation status of LRWD1 promoter is correlated with sperm motility. The clinical samples of sperm genomic DNA were subjected to bisulfite modification and real-time methylation-specific PCR for the detection of DNA methylation status of LRWD1 promoter. The results are expressed relative expression as ratios between the LRWD1 values and the MyoD1 control values. Pearson correlation analysis evaluated the association of the methylation status of LRWD1 with (a) c-motile (%) and (b) c-static (%) for sperm motility data from semen analysis by computer-assisted semen analysis (CASA) system. r: Correlation Coefficient; P < 0.05: Significant differences (n = 80).
