Identification of the interstitial deletion by array-comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) on amniotic fluid. Array-CGH was performed on DNA extracted from uncultured amniotic fluid cells identifying a 4 Mb interstitial deletion of the long arm of chromosome 7 in the 7q32.2q32.3 region. This deletion located in the 128936178–132951244 region encompasses 22 genes referenced in the Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) database (www.omim.org)
