Rapporter un cas rare de corps étranger dans l’urètre.

Méthode et résultats

Il s’agit d’un cas de corps étranger intra-urétral: un homme de 32 ans aux antécédents de troubles psychiatriques s’est introduit un câble électrique dans l’urètre. La prise en charge constituait en une ablation chirurgicale par abord périnéal.

Conclusion

Le traitement des corps étrangers intra-urétraux est le plus souvent endoscopique, mais dans certains cas la chirurgie ouverte est nécessaire.

Abstract

Objective

To describe an unusual case of a urethral foreign body.

Methods and results

This was a case of an intraurethral foreign body in a man aged 32 with previous psychiatric problems, who had inserted an electric cable into his urethra. This was managed by surgical removal via a perineal approach.

Conclusion

The treatment of intraurethral foreign bodies is usually endoscopic, but in some cases open surgery is necessary.
