The specialist in testicular diseases, Thomas Blizard Curling (1811–1888), and his method of treatment of varicocele, among other methods of treatment in the 19th century

Résumé

Dans cet article, nous présentons brièvement les différents modes de traitement, conservateur et chirurgical, de la varicocèle et nous mettons l’accent sur une méthode non chirurgicale efficace, inventée et vulgarisée par le grand spécialiste des maladies du testicule, Curling.

Abstract

In this article, we present briefly the various types of conservative and surgical therapeutic approaches of varicocele. We focus on an effective non-surgical method invented and popularized by Curling, the great specialist in testicular diseases.
