Serum inhibin concentration in patients suffering of varicocele or other testis disorders

Abstract

Serum inhibin, gonadal steroids and gonadotropins have been estimated in 51 patients with either a varicocele, other testis pathologies or normal sperm, and have been compared with the sperm parameters. No significant modifications in inhibin concentrations have been observed in these patients. Moreover inhibin is not correlated with any studied parameters. In conclusion, inhibin measurement does not permit to specify the etiopathogeny of testis disorders.
