Abstract
Several proteins have been determined in human seminal plasma in order to study male infertilities more accurately. Some of them, as androgen binding protein, somatomedine C, epidermal growth factor, plasminogen activator and ceruloplasmine are not reliable markers against testbumine, transferrine and LDHX. We particularly comment about transferrine, which, as LDHX, presents a strong correlation with sperm count. Nevertheless, differential diagnosis of azoospermia can’t be done by means of one of these markers.
