Regulation of LRWD1 promoter activity and LRWD1 expression by methylation activators or inhibitors. NT2/D1 cells were co-transfected with pCpGL-hLRWD1 and pRL-TK reporter plasmids, and the cells were incubated with (a) a methylation activator (floxuridine) or (b) a methylation inhibitor (5-Aza-2′-deoxycytidine; 5-Aza-dc) for 24 h at the indicated doses. The promoter activity was assessed by luciferase reporter gene assay, and luciferase activities were normalized to pRL-TK reporter activities and presented as fold induction compared to the empty control vector.
