HE staining and TUNEL assay of cross-sections of testis tissue from rats treated with Control (vehicle), CP, and CP + RLN. CP treatment disrupted the seminiferous epithelium. Specifically, seminiferous germ cells were often missing, and spermatogenesis was partially disorganized. Apoptosis was prominent following CP treatment and mainly observed in spermatogonia and spermatocytes existing around the seminiferous tubule. Bar = 100 μm; all panels are the same magnification
